Games Night
Tonight was a bit of a chillax session, well we took a break from the One Programme anyway for the evening. We opened with a game of swing the bacon which is always good craic but man that game makes you dizzy – Just ask Ellie!!!
The meeting divided into Patrol Corners to give the Patrols the opportunity to play some games and get to know each other better without having to focus on the programme. It was also a chance for the leaders to spend more time getting to know everyone better and working with the Patrol Leaders to help support them in their roles.
We had three games down on the night and as you can see from the pictures good fun was had by all~
Jenga – Needs no explanation – a classic came and the scouts showed that the Jenga pieces also make good dominos (not the Pizzas)
Twister – who doesnt love a game of twister although I’m not sure about ever asking the scouts to take their shoes off anymore – me thinks that smell is going to linger!!!!
N-tropy – now nobody had heard about that game except Brendan (who it appears has an Encylopedic knowledge of all things game related). It can best be described as a game of balance, skill and patience, or for some on the night total carnage!!!
It was a great night and the scouts all got stuck in and took part – it will be something we do between each of our six week programme cycles.
