Beaver Visit to Irish Military Museum
Well the Beavers new year got off to a fantastic start as last years group of beavers paid a visit to Irish Military Museum. The trip was to celebrate friendships and achievements made over the two or three years that some of the troop have spent in beavers as several of the gang heading up to cubs in the coming weeks.
We had a very informative & enjoyable tour of the museum, with a trip involving giant puddles in the back of a tank. After the museum the troop took on the fantastic inflatable obstacle course causing both leaders and beavers to run jump swing and laugh....oh and sweat. It was a great afternoon.
When we were all suitably exhausted the leaders were introduced to a gun! And we got to practice our shooting skills. Finally we had a round of 'Bremore's Fittest Beaver' with our beavers taking on an obstacle course. The kids ran their hearts out around a circuit -climbing over nets , walls ,swinging across money bars and just being fab.
We will be sorry to see our older beavers move to cubs but we know they will be fab and a great asset to the cubs team. Also we will be losing one of our leaders Therese, she organised today's trip to go out with a bang. She will be sorely missed by the beaver team and it will be hard for someone to fill her boots.
So if you are the sort of person who would love jumping around an obstacle course, mucking about in the back of a tank and having a mucky great time in the out doors we have a vacancy so please get in touch.
