The SPICES of Life

As per usual we started off our meeting with the charter.

Firstly we played a “quick” game of crab football. (As we all know; a quick game is a good game!).

Next Ciarán read out some statements and scenarios while the rest of us had to move to the space that had the “spice” we felt was most relevant. The SPICES are:

• Social

• Physical

• Intellectual

• Character

• Emotional

• Spiritual

This was a very interesting experience and gave us some insight into what other people believed was the “right” place to go.

After that, Fiona took the newer scouts off to prepare for their investiture we split into our terranova groups. We were given the task to find out all about our groups history (which luckily is not very long!) When the meeting was complete all the scouts over 14 (or close enough) agreed to help collect for Cappagh Hospital in Millfield on Saturday the 14th of November on behalf of the Irish Youth Foundation.
